Wilbur "Buddy" Rice

Wilbur "Buddy"  Rice, 96, of Iola, passed away Monday, September 9th, at Ascension Saint Michael's Hospitalin  Stevens Point. Wilbur was born in Township of Harrison, Waupaca County, Wisconsin on June 23, 1923, a son of the late Clara (Anderson) and Claude  Rice.  He  married Delores Kitzman on March 27, 1948 in Evanston, Illinois.   His love was to play in a band and spoke of it often.  He was a farmer all his life in the Town of Harrison.  Buddy worked at Four Wheel Drive in Clintonville and also in a high-rise in Chicago.   He is survived by  his wife, Delores, Daughter:  Diane Rice of New London,   Son: Gary (Cory) Rice of Iola.  Sister:  Dolly Conly of Libertyville, Illinois, along with nieces and nephews.   Wilbur was preceded in death by his Brother:  Russell and Sister: Blanche Petersen.    Funeral Service will be held at Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 16th, 2019.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.  Interment will be in Iola Riverside Community Cemetery in  Iola.    Register Book and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.voiefuneralhome.com Voie Funeral Home120 S.
