Verley I. Paulson, 93, of Amherst Jct., passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019. He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on July 5, 1925, a son of the late Fern (Collins) and Alf Paulson. Verley married Donna Halla on Jan 10, 1974 in Joliet Illinois. She preceded him in death on Jan 11, 1998.
Verley served as a mechanic in the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked as a asphalt layout operator for Murphy Construction for over 25 years. He enjoyed working on tractors and trucks along with woodworking. He also enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, snowmobiling, going to the Manawa Rodeo and attending the Rosholt Thresheree.
Verley is survived by his Son: Barry (Joan) Paulson of Fremont, Daughters: Tina Shatters of Appleton, Bonnie Paulson of Wausau. 9-Grandchildren,11-Great Grandchildren and 2-Great Great Grandchildren, Brother: Archie (Roene) Paulson of Neenah, Sister: Barbara (Friend-Bob) Abhold of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his Brother: Donald Paulson and Stepsons: Bill & Joe O'Connell.
Funeral Service will be held at Voie Funeral Home, Iola, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16th, with Reverend Rich Engel officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday 10-11 AM. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
