Thomas R. Creech

December 7, 1935 — November 11, 2018

Thomas R. Creech, 82, of Iola, WI, passed away Sunday, November 11th at his residence. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 7, 1935, a son of the late Agnes and James Creech. Tom married Nettie Buchanan on May 29, 1959 at the Presbyterian Church in Olney, Illinois. She preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2018.

Tom graduated from Bridgeport High School. He served in the United States Army and later the Reserves. He worked as a machinist / pipe fitter for Texaco Refinery and Eastern Illinois University. After retirement, Tom and Nettie moved to Iola to be near their daughter and family; Ann & Dan Tap. He was a member of the Iola Lions Club and enjoyed fishing and small game hunting.

Tom is survived by his
Daughter: Ann (Dan) Tap, of Iola;
Grandsons: Brian Tap, Cory Tap
Granddaughter: Alyssa Tap
He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his Wife: Nettie, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral Service will be held at Voie Funeral Home in Iola, Wisconsin, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 17th, with Rev. Eric Tober officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 Noon-2 PM. Interment will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery Town of Scandinavia, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Hospice or Iola Meals on wheels.
