Sheri Lynn Seubert

UPDATED 12/26/2023 Sheri Lynn Seubert, 59, of Weyauwega, formerly of Scandinavia, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023. She was born Aug. 19, 1964, in Elgin, Illinois, to Sandra (Orban) Schumacher and the late Gordon Schumacher. Sheri moved with her parents and two brothers from Elgin to a farm near Scandinavia in 1976. She graduated from Iola-Scandinavia High School in 1982 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie. Sheri married Greg Seubert June 26, 1999, at Scandinavia Lutheran Church in Scandinavia and they adopted their sons, Dylan and Kyle, in 2004. She worked at several places over the years, including the Merrimac restaurant and Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca; the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King; and the Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School library. She also sold Tupperware on the side. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially baking and cooking; heading to the Willow River and Pier Lake for annual family vacations; and watching Food Network shows and Star Wars and Marvel movies with her sons. She is survived by her husband, Greg, Weyauwega; sons Dylan and Kyle, Weyauwega; her mother, Sandy Schumacher, Scandinavia; two brothers, Gregg (Toni) Schumacher and Gary Schumacher, Iola; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends; and her favorite furry companions, Buddy and Walter. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Schumacher; and her grandparents, Louis and Evelyn Orban and Arthur & Loretta (Feabrantz) Schumacher. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola. Please dress casually. The family would like to thank the ThedaCare-Waupaca hospice team and ThedaCare-Appleton cancer team for their care, concern and assistance. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
