Sharyn A. Medrow

Sharyn A. Medrow, 81, of Iola, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2024. She was born in Franklin on October 11, 1943, to Clarence and Delores Nitz. Sharyn married Dennis Medrow the love of her life, on April 25, 1964, in Franklin. In 1965, Dennis and Sharyn purchased a cottage in the village of Helvetia, where they retired and moved there full-time in 2000. Sharyn had a passion for gardening and cherished nurturing her flower gardens. Known for her determination, Sharyn would pluck dandelions from any property she found them on, often bringing a smile to those around her. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and visiting the casino in her free time. Sharyn was also an active member of her community, volunteering for the Lioness Club, and the Iola Car Show, and rescuing feral cats. Sharyn is survived by her husband, Dennis, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, their beloved cats Big Boy, Sasha, and Bailey, along with numerous close friends and neighbors who will dearly miss her. A Celebration of Life honoring Sharyn's memory will take place on Friday, December 13th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Silver Lake Lanes in Scandinavia in a spirit of remembrance and love.
