Sandra JoAnn Danielson, born on August 25th, 1951, Rosholt, Wisconsin passed away May 10th at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin. She is leaving behind a legacy of love and genuine kindness. Sandra, known to her loved ones as "Sandi," was the beloved daughter of Betty Birkeland, Arlen Birkeland, and father Charlie Danielson. She is survived by her devoted partner of 25 years, Tom Lewis, and her sisters: Donna Ballard of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; Diane (Craig) Malkovich of Phillips, Wisconsin; Barb Halverson of Harwood, North Dakota; Carla Tice of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; and Ruth Ann (Craig) Haugen, brothers Dean (Teri) Birkeland of Ottertail, MN and Richard (Julie) of Hudson, Wisconsin. Sandi's memory will be cherished by her nieces, nephews, including her godson, Casey Brovold. She is now reunited with her departed parents, Betty and Arlen Birkeland, Father Charlie Danielson, sister Peggy Brovold, brothers Neal and John Birkeland, niece Dana Edevold, nephew, Benjamin Brovold, great-nephew Brandon Edevold, and brothers-in-law Jerry Brovold, Ronnie Ballard, Donnie Edevold, and Dean Halverson. After graduating from high school, Sandi pursued further education at Aaker Business College in Fargo, ND. Throughout her career, she worked at Kaufmans in Chicago and Marquette University in Milwaukee. Sandi had the opportunity to reside in various beautiful locations, from Anacortes, Washington, to Pensacola, Florida. Her most cherished place of residence was New Orleans, where she found solace in the warmth and kindness of its people. Sandi adored her Tara Cats, including her present Tara the VIII. She was an excellent chef, and a fine dining server. She was a great artist and storyteller. She was witty and loved being from a big family. Sandi will be remembered for her authenticity and sincerity. Her words were always genuine, and those who knew her understood the depth of her sentiments. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A family gathering will be at Tom Lewis's residence, 197 N. Main in Rosholt, Wisconsin on May 19th, 2024 at 1pm, burial services will be scheduled at a later date in Gonvick, MN.
