Robert Herold Wasrud Sr.

Robert Herold Wasrud, Sr., age 88, passed away at home on October 15, 2020. He was born August 28, 1932 to Royal V. Wasrud, Sr. and Josephine M. (Moser) Wasrud. He met and married Margaret C. (Malone) Wasrud on December 19, 1959, in Iola, Wisconsin at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. In 1951, he went into military service with the U.S. Navy as a machinist mate for four years. He worked for Waupaca Foundry as an Electrician and retired after 42 years of service. In his younger years, he loved spending time working with horses. He loved watching his grandchildren in their sports and school activities. He is preceded in death by his parents Royal, Sr. and Josephine Wasrud, his sister Dorothy Wasrud, his brother Keith Wasrud, his brother Royal, Jr. (Eileen) Wasrud, son-in-law Gregory Brace, nephew Randy Wasrud. He is survived by his wife Margaret Wasrud, his four children: Rochelle Brace, Robert, Jr. (Julie) Wasrud, Richard (Fran) Wasrud, and Rebecca (Dale) Bonikowske along with his 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his brother Donald (Dawn) Wasrud, sister-in-law Chris Wasrud. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and their spouses. There will not be any funeral service per family request.
