Lois A. Haroldson October 22, 1932-December 24, 2020 Lois A. Haroldson, age 88, of Rosholt, WI passed away December 24, 2020 at home with family. She was born in Big Falls, WI on October 22, 1932, a daughter of the late Lillian (Hedtke) Arndt and Louis C. Arndt. She attended Big Falls Grade School and Marion High School, graduating Valedictorian in 1950. After graduation, she was employed with Miller Brewing Co. in Milwaukee. Lois married Thomas M. Haroldson on her Golden Birthday, October 22, 1955 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Big Falls, WI. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Lois will be remembered for her love of family and those she knew well. Her favorite bible verse was 1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.” This she chose as her wedding scripture. Lois supported her husband Tom for over 50 years with the T.M. Haroldson Insurance Agency. She obtained her Insurance license and also was the Office Manager while raising five children. Lois also volunteered as President and Chaplin with Big Falls VFW Auxiliary, President of the Rosholt Garden Club and also served with the Ladies WELCA at Faith Lutheran Church. Lois was most proud of her family, always putting the needs of her family above her own. When Lois’ mother was unable to care for herself, Lois became her full-time caregiver as her mother’s wishes were to stay with family rather than a nursing facility. Lois said it was a privilege to take care of her mother. Lois was always so generous with others, making others happy was her greatest joy, sharing love with family and friends. She enjoyed getting together with her high school classmates that met monthly for many years. While her children were young, she supported them in school events. Lois also assisted her children in 4-H and preparing entries for the Rosholt Fair. She especially enjoyed making flower arrangements. Lois also enjoyed cooking and baking, going through many favorite recipes and preparing large dinners for each holiday or birthday. Lois loved all animals, especially her dogs. Lois enjoyed spending many summers at her vacation home in Mercer with her family. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Tom and her children. Some of her favorite places traveled were China, Norway, Germany and the annual 631 Tank Destroyer WWII Army reunions held annually throughout the country. Lois is survived by her children: Louisa Haroldson of Rosholt, Julaine (Ole Larson) Haroldson of Rosholt, John Haroldson of Rosholt, Marilyn Haroldson of Junction City; grandchildren: Luke (Austin Bell) Haroldson of Portland OR, and Camia (Randy Hoefs) Seiler of Marshfield. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Haroldson; son Thomas L. Haroldson; Marilyn’s fiancé Mark Ligman; brother Russell Arndt; parents, grandparents, other relatives and friends. The family wish to thank the entire staff of Interim Hospice in assisting with Lois’ care at home. Funeral services with immediate family will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt, WI on Wed., Dec. 30th with Reverend Michael Peuse officiating. Interment will be in the Alban Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Alban, Portage County, Wisconsin. The Voie Funeral Home of Iola is honored to serve the family.
