Jim Wink

James Henry Wink, age 81, of Iola, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was born on October 9, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late John & Lorraine (Barth) Wink. Jim was a great lover and connoisseur of automobiles. He was a salesman at various Milwaukee Car dealerships in the 60's, 70's and 80's. From 1998-2006 he worked at the Iola-Scandinavia School district as a member of the maintenance department; affectionately know as "Mr. Wink". In retirement, he cleared many nature trails of brush and debris in the Iola area for all to enjoy. He volunteered at the Iola Car Show for many years. James is survived by Stormy the dog, his Sister: Janice K. (James) Ihlenfeld, Aurora, IL. Nephew: David J. (Audi) Ihlenfeld & Matthew J. Ihlenfeld, Los Angeles, CA, Cousins: Dale (BongChung) Koch, PA, Katherine (Alan) Pfeil, NJ, and Gary (Susanne) Lukacek, WI. Ex-Wife: Jane Wink, Step-Daughter Suzette (Mark) Merkel and their children: Jonalee (Adam) Kuhn, and their children: Elijah and Branson, Step-Grandson: Jake (Amber) Merkel, and their children: Mya, Elliana, Amelia and Alaina, Step-Grandson: James (Aubrie) Merkel. Step-Daughter: Annette (Peter) Skok, Step-Grandson: John Skok, Grandaughter: Jennelle Skok He was preceded in death by his Dogs: Cooney & Beazer, Parents Lorraine (Barth) & John Wink. A Graveside Service will be held at the North New Hope Lutheran Cemetery in The Town of New Hope Portage County, Wisconsin on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
