Jean Marie Peterson

Jean Marie Peterson, 78, of Iola, passed away Thursday, April 9th, at her residence.  Jean was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 30, 1941, a daughter of the late Lenora (Mohr) and Merle Cooper.

Jean enjoyed reading, fishing, camping, and watching birds. Her favorite flower was lily of the valley.  Jean always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a fan of country music and liked to listen to Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride and Freddie Fender. Every year, she would delay the departure of all her son's and grandsons going on the musky trip by always saying “just one more hug”.

She is survived by her sons: Jon (Janel) Peterson, of Iola, Rick (Stacy) Peterson, of Iola, Kelly (Dawn) Peterson, of Iola, Scot (Kellie) Peterson, of Scandinavia, five step sons: Rich (Mary Lou ) Peterson of Wautoma, Ron (Loretta) Peterson of Phillips, Vernon Jr (Kerry) Peterson of Wautoma, Gordon (Alice) Peterson of Scandinavia, Greg (Sarha) Peterson of Scandinavia. Jean is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with a Sister: Bernice and special friends: Dave Jackson and Jasmine Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
