James Leroy Lee, 94, of Saint Charles, Illinois went to his heavenly home on January 4, 2023. He resided in South Elgin, Illinois. He was born on September 30, 1928 in Iola, WI to the late Hanford and Helen (Loberg) Lee. He loved American history and the word of God. As a young man he worked for the railroad then in his thirties he spent some time with IBM. In the latter part of his working years James applied himself to the transportation industry. He is survived by Three sons: Donald Lee, of Suffolk, VA. Jerrold Lee, of Saint Charles, IL. and Christopher Lee, also of Suffolk VA. Seven Grandchildren: Angela (Lee) Williamson and husband Craig Williamson of Elgin, IL., Jason Lee and wife Elizabeth (Liz) of Wonder Lake, IL., Dawn Lee and wife Joanne of Chicago, IL, Robert Lee of Wonder Lake, IL and Michelle, Benjamin Lee of Mountain Home, ID. , Brian Lee of Rochester, NY, Samantha Lee of Rochester, NY Eight Great Grandchildren: Addison Lee, Tommy Lee, Skylar Lee, Vivian Lee, Trystin Lee, Astryd Lee, Jenson Lee and Ryker Lee He was preceded in death by his father, Hanford Lee; mother, Helen Lee and eight brothers and sisters, Marian, Charlotte, Ethal, Evalyn, Chester, Donna, Virginia and Donald James' passing marks the last of nine children born to Hanford and Helen Lee. The Funeral Service for James will be held on Friday January 13, 2023 1:00 PM at Northland Lutheran Church with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be held at Northland Lutheran Church at 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, 13th of January, 2023. Interment will be at Northland Lutheran Cemetery.
