James E. Bing

James E. Bing, 91, of Iola, WI, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at The Willows in Iola. He was born in Iola, on November 11, 1928, a son of the late Dora (Severson) and Herman Bing. James married Nancy Caldwell on May 2, 1963 in Waupaca. She preceded him in death on Feb 23, 2019. Jim was a hard working dairy farmer who worked at Delicious, Inc. in Waupaca, WI following retirement from farming. Jim was a Korean war veteran who enjoyed classic cars, John Deere tractors and cheering for his beloved Wisconsin sports teams. Jim was a caring father and grandfather and devoted caregiver to his wife, Nancy in the later years of his life. Jim is survived by his daughter, Barbara Gruys and granddaughter, Madeline Gruys both of Rogers, MN. He was preceded in death by his son in law, John Gruys. No services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Iola Living Assistance and The Willows for the excellent and loving care they provided to Jim while he was a resident.
