Ellamay Erickson

EllaMay Erickson, 90, of Appleton, formerly of the Waupaca and Amherst area, passed away on August 26, 2020 in Appleton, WI. She was born on March 8, 1930 to Bishop and Rose (Fry) Bucher at Nelson, Buffalo County, Wisconsin. She married Donald E. Erickson on June 27,1955 in Durand, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2013. EllaMay worked as a CNA for 10 years at Riverside Medical Center and Crystal River Nursing and Rehab in Waupaca. EllaMay is survived by her loving canine companion, DaisyMay, Children: Donna (Steve Burnham) Jordan of Waupaca, Dianne (Dale Howen) Laramore of Waupaca, Randy (Samantha Bell) Erickson of Clintonville, Roger (Donna Schiller) Erickson of Appleton, Debbie (Tracy) DuFrane of Nelson, WI, Ross Erickson of Weyauwega. Ella May is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren. Sister: Shirley Milliren of Arkansas, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Donald Erickson, three children: Rodney, David and Dawn, three grandsons; Brian Erickson, Kevin Ferguson and Mathew Erickson and brothers: Edward Bucher, Richard Bucher and Norman Bucher, Arthur Bucher and sisters: Julia Sandberg, and Mabel DeVore, two Great Grandchildren: Jaxon Clement and Layla Driscoll. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020, from 10:00 AM -12:00 Noon at the Voie Funeral Home, Iola. Burial will take place in the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery. Voie Funeral and Cremation Services of Iola is assisting the family with arrangements. Funeral Home regulations require all in attendance to wear masks due to COVID-19.
