Donna M. Wacek-Brandt

Donna M. Wacek Brandt (Schuch) passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 85 in Iola, WI. Donna was born in Kewaunee, WI, on June 4, 1937, to Adolph and Sylvia (Ramesh) Schuch. Donna graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1955. She was a standout cheerleader for 3 years and a member of many clubs, including the Debate Club, FHA Club, NFL Club, Pep Club and Student Council. On October 11, 1958, she married Richard B. Wacek and they were married 39 years until Richard passed on January 15, 1997. Together they had two children: son, Jeffrey (Cassandra) Wacek of Iola, WI, daughter, Kim M. Wacek of St. Augustine, FL. After attending a class reunion, she met and married classmate Louis Brandt on August 17, 2002. They had 19 wonderful years together until he passed away on June 4, 2021. Donna was a very stylish lady who had many hobbies including: gardening, floral arranging and word search. She was also an excellent cook and baker. She was very proud of her home and family. Her main job was as a homemaker, wife, mother and aunt. She lived out her faith, praying the rosary every day and even managed a job at NWTC. Survivors include: Kim Wacek, Jeffrey Wacek and his wife, Cassandra; twin brother: Dean Schuch and his wife Carol, Cecil WI; brother-in-law: Edward Wacek, De Pere, WI; grandson: Tyson Bartosh and his wife Candice; 4 grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Private services will be held at the Voie Funeral home in Iola on Friday, May 26, 2023. The family requests that no flower arrangements be sent. We would like to thank The Willows for all the love and care you gave our mother, she loved her room and all of the staff.
