Daniel Edward Panzer, 84 of Scandinavia, Wisconsin went to his heavenly home on July 17,2023. He was born November 13, 1938 in Kewaskum, Wisconsin to the late Herman Sr. and Vera (Koepke) Panzer. Dan married the love of his life, Diana (Zarske) Panzer on June 6, 1959 in West Allis Wisconsin. Dan graduated from UW Platteville in 1960, with a Bachelors in Agricultural Education and a minor in Social Science. Dan was employed in the animal feed and health industry as a district salesman, a district sales manager and an account specialist for over 63 years up until the day he passed away. Dan won many sales awards over those years including a Trailblazer Award for which he earned a special ring that he always wore. Dan developed many friendships during his years with the farmers and enjoyed stopping to see them and sharing a joke or two to brighten their day. Dan was a family man and always believed that family came first. He and Diana had 6 children, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren and there was nothing he would not do for them. He taught his boys to hunt, working side by side to process their game. Dan and Diana spent summers with the kids camping at the trailer where Dan taught his kids how to cook over a campfire. Dan was also very close with his 4 brothers and they loved to get together to play cards and joke with each other. Hunting season was an annual event at the hunting shack(trailer) with playing cards and Dan’s famous stew. Dan was an active community member in the communities they lived in over the years. He served on church councils, village boards, and school boards. He spent many years as an active Lion’s Club member and a volunteer fireman in the Silver Creek Fire Department. He is survived by wife Diana of 64 years; children: Deb Kutz, Duwane Panzer, Danny Panzer, Dean Panzer, Dawn (Kelly) Peterson and Darrell Panzer; six grandchildren: Benjamin (Amanda), Kirk (Steph), Kaleb (Hayley), Kleighton (Clara), James (Courtney) and Jazmine (Kegan); six great grandchildren: Caeden, Delilah, Adelaide, Noah, Kira, Julian and 2 more due in August and October; sisters-in-law: Nancy Panzer and Nancy Lou Sponholtz. He was preceded in death by a grandson: David Daniel Panzer; four brothers: Alvin, Ronald, Eugene and Herman Jr.; 2 brothers-in-law: David (Butch) Zarske and Gordon Sponholtz; four sisters-in-law: Janet, Sally, Ann, and Judy. A celebration of life service for Dan will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Eisele officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in memory of Dan to the Scandinavia Lutheran Church.
