Chester R. Pedersen

Chester " Chet" Ray Pedersen, 88, of Iola, WI, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Thedacare Medical Center in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Chester was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 7, 1930, a son of the late Erna (Moeller) and Hans Pedersen. He married Vera Kasmariak, she preceded him in death in 1999. Chet later married Gennie Miskanis on May 12, 2000 in Schaumburg, Illinois. She survives.Chet was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War. He was a member of the Iola American Legion and the Iola VFW. He had worked as a roofer in Chicago most of his life. He volunteerd at the Iola Old Car and Military Shows. Chet enjoyed going to the casinos. He also enjoyed fishing and watching nature.Chet is survived by his wife, Gennie, Daughter: Gail (Bruce) Singer; Sons: Niels Pedersen and Eric PedersenStepdaughters; Laurie (Daniel) Cisewski, of Stevens Point and Linda Miskanis, of Almond; Special family friend: Kathy Welk and Special Pet: Shoogie. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Roselle, Illinois on May 26th at 11:00 AM. The Rev.
