Bernice Reinhardt

Bernice Sylvia Pauline Reinhardt, age 93 formerly of Amherst Junction, closed her eyes in rest here and joyfully woke refreshed in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 31, 2018. Bernice was born in Rosholt, Wisconsin on June 17, 1925 the daughter of Morris and Edna (Berge) Stenerson. She married Frederick Reinhardt on March 15, 1952 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, New Hope. She was delighted to bake, garden, travel and spend time with family and friends. Bernice was a friend to everyone she met, always generous and kind. Her love for Freddy was reflected in her eyes for the 66 years of their marriage. She was the best Mom and Grandma in the world! She is survived by: brother Eddy Stenerson and sister Carla Searl, daughters; Shirley (Larry) Dukershein, Sharon (Allen) Hansen, Judy (Jere) Mansavage, Connie (Dale) Behrend, 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Milton Stenerson and sister Stella Thompson. Visitation will begin at 9:30 on Friday January 4th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 203 Grant Street, Amherst followed by the 11:00 funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their care in recent months. With grateful hearts we thank God for the professional, compassionate staff of Whispering Pines in Plover for lovingly caring for our family.
