Augusta "Betty" Brown

Augusta "Betty" E. Brown, age 90, of Manawa, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021.  She was born on March 3, 1931 in Iola, to the late Gustav & Myrtle (Peterson) Gilbertson.

Augusta married Theodore R. Brown  He preceded her in death in 1965 while living in Wyoming. Betty enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, doing crosswords, shaking dice, and loved animals; especially dogs and cats.  She was also an avid collector of stuffed owls.

She is survived by her children:  Ted (Alice M.) Brown, Alice Brown, and Vickie (Jay) Ferg, Grandchildren:  Justin (Leah) Brown, Katie Brown, Elizabeth (Ryan) Lundin, Gabrielle (Richard Kumber) Ferg and Great Grandchildren: Laura Brown, Jacob Kravitz, Raiden Heise, Magnolia Lundin, (Daughter)Sandra Petrausch ), (Grandchildren), James,Petrausch,(Julie), Kimberly Petrausch, Angela Petrausch, (Deceased Son), Leroy Breier, (Great Grandchildren), Cody Petrausch, and Dusten Bowen and Sister, Ellen Ruff. She is also survived by other relatives and friends including Janna Much, Tammy Nash, and Marie Schultz.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later time at the Iola Riverside Community Cemetery in Iola
