Agnes Eleanor Thompson

Agnes E. Thompson, age 95, of Waupaca, formerly of Iola, passed away Friday, November 8th, at Bethany Home. Agnes was born  on March 13, 1924, in Rosholt, a daughter of the late Rogna (Bergslien) Hansen and Paul Hansen.

She married Eugene "Tommy" Thompson in Edgar, Wisconsin.  He preceded her in death on Sept 30, 1984.  The most important thing to Agnes was her family, spending time with each one of them.   Agnes enjoyed cooking along with making Norwegian pastries at Christmas time.   She also liked to sew, cross-stitch, crochet, and knit.

She is survived by her Sons:  Doug Thompson, of Waupaca, Carroll (Sharon) Thompson, of Waupaca, Daughters: Pat Thompson, of Waupaca, and Donna (Friend: Scott) Anderson of Green Bay.  Nine  grandchildren survive along with Five Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a Granddaughter:  Mindy Thompson along with two brothers and one sister.

Funeral Service will be held at Northland Lutheran Church in Iola on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM  with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the church from  10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  Interment will be in Northland Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.
