Roger W. Mohr

Roger Walter Mohr, 73, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, formerly of Iola and Stevens Point, died Friday, May 28th, 2010. Roger was born in Wausau, WI. on March 1, 1937, the son of the late William and Adeline (Wetterneck) Mohr. He married Sarah Weinmann on September 5, 1959 in Iola. She survives. Roger served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1975. He worked for Consolidated Paper in Stevens Point for over 23 years. Roger also enjoyed fishing and hunting at his cabin. He is survived by his Wife: Sarah Mohr of Stevens Point; Children: Ray (Sherry) Mohr of Kaukauna. Jennie (Robert) Wierzba of Nelsonville. Randy Mohr of Milwaukee; Grandchildren: Robert Wierzba III Shane Mohr Cheyenne Mohr Great Granddaughter: Rachael Wierzba Sisters: Pat (John) Tilton of Minocqua. Joyce Doffing of New Berlin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews other relatives and friends Memorial Service will be held at Iola United Methodist Church at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 4th, with Reverend Dale Eggert officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12 Noon -1:30 P.M. Interment of Cremains will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Iola. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
