Glenn E. Coates

Age 79. Born into Eternal Life on April 20, 2010. Beloved husband of Irene (nee Drazgowski), for almost 60 years. Loving father of Glenn M. (Susan), David (Linda), James, Kevin, and Brian (Tina). Proud grandpa of 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Jim (Lovey) Coates. Glenn was preceded in death by his son Duane and sister Orene. He will also be missed by many other relatives and friends. Glenn was a 60 year member of Bricklayers Local #8. He owned and operated Grandpa's Still in Iola from 1982-1999. Glenn was a member of the Iola Lion's Club and was involved with the Old Car Show. Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst on Saturday, April 24th at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Father Robert Pedretti will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30-11:00 AM. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
