Leona D. Prust

Leona D. Prust, 89, of Iola, died Friday, April 9th, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on February 2, 1921 in Ringsted, Iowa, daughter of the late Theodore and Dagmar (Mouritsen) Christiansen. She married Emil Prust on September 22, 1939 at Fredsville Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He died December 31, 2003. She had been a homemaker. She loved watching the Packers and also enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst. She is survived by her children: Gary L. Prust Red Oaks, TX, Sharon (Robert) Bauer Conover, Glen Prust Iola, Duane (Shirley) Wegener Ogdensburg, Grandchildren: Eric (Kay) Bauer, Joelene Prust, and Gary E. Prust. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: 1 Son: Terry Lee, 4 brothers: Harvey, Ray, Ernie, and Emil Christiansen and 2 Sisters; Ethel Kjaer and Edelia Theesfield. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 @ 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst with the Rev. Mark Moldenhauer officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Voie Funeral Home of Iola is in charge of arrangements.
