Robert "Abe" Karolus

Robert "Abe" Karolus, age 69, of Iola, died Monday, March 1st, 2010 at his residence. Robert was born in Shawano, Wisconsin on October 21, 1940, the son of the late Arthur Herman and Meta Marie (Behn) Karolus. He was married to Kay Diestler on February 19, 1975 in Tampa, FL. She survives. He served in the U.S. Army. Bob had been a security guard for P.S.I. at ThyssenKrupp in Waupaca. He enjoyed animals, especially feeding the birds and the squirrels. He also enjoyed watching sports and doing crosswords. He loved his job as a security guard. He is survived by: His wife: Kay Karolus Iola, Sons: Michael (Laura) Karolus Iola, Kenny (Sara) Karolus Iola, Daughter: Joan Karolus Seattle, WA. Sister: Barbara Lee ( Dick) Dickow Neenah. 2 Grandchildren: Madelyn and Marcus, 1 Grand Dog : Charlie Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 @ 11:00 AM at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola. Pastor Marcia Sabin officiating. Friends may call on Thursday 4-7 PM. at the funeral home. Burial will be later in the spring at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
