John A. Dobbe

Mr. John A. Dobbe, age 81, of Wittenberg, formerly of Rosholt died Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at Homme Home for the Aging. John was born in Town of Alban, Portage County, Wisconsin on July 11, 1928, the son of the late L. Palmer and Bertha (Gunderson) Dobbe. John married Lorraine Behnke on May 31, 1952 at Northland Lutheran Church. She survives John was the owner of the Knight Kap Tavern in Rosholt for 20 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed baseball, softball and horseshoes. John served four years in the United States Navy. He is survived by his Wife: Lorraine Dobbe of Wittenberg; Daughters: Karen (Tom) Bushman of Rosholt. Jane (Mark) Eckendorf of Custer; Sons: Gary (Debbie) Dobbe of Guthrie, KY. Robert (Debbie) Dobbe of Wisconsin Rapids. Fifteen grandchildren, Twenty One great grandchildren and One Sister: Ellen (Frank) Lease of Chicago also survive. John was preceded in death by Brothers: Clarence and Richard Dobbe. Funeral Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-8 PM. at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola and on Wednesday at the church from 10-11 AM . Interment will be in Alban Cemetery in the Town of Alban, Wisconsin.
