Milton S. Krause

Milton S. Krause, age 90, of Iola, formerly of Ogdensburg, Thursday, January 14th, 2010 at Iola Living Assistance. Milton was born in Iola, Wisconsin on April 15, 1919, the son of the late Fred and Golla M. (Olson) Krause. He was United in Marriage to Vivian Jones on Oct 30, 1943. She preceded him in death on April 28, 1947. He later married Helen Pagel on June 20, 1964. She preceded him in death on Feb 25, 1992. Milton was a farmer and logger. He worked a short time in the Milwaukee shipyard as a welder. Milton enjoyed collecting stamps, putting puzzles together and playing cards with family and friends. He is survived by Son: James L. Krause of Ogdensburg; Daughter: Shirley (Verlyn) Hanson of Iola; Step Daughters: Dianna (Bill) Macom of Houston, Texas. Kathryn (Frank) Ostrowski of Ogdensburg. He is also survived by Grandson: Kelvin Hanson, Waupaca; Step Grandchildren: John Schoenrock, Marilyn Huzor, Frank Ostrowski, Dan Ostrowski, Karen Knapstein, Tom Ostrowski, Chris Ostrowski, Eddie Pagel and James Pagel. Ten Step Great Grandchildren and One Step Great Great Grandchild. Brothers: Francis "Bud" Krause of South Milwaukee; Obert Krause of Menomonee Falls; Sister: Helen Wenzel of Waupaca. Milton was preceded in death by Granddaughter: Vickie Randles, Step Daughter: Edwinna Lang, Step Son: James Pagel, Sisters & Brothers in law: Carol (Bill) Iverson, Lillian Goodwin, Irene Krause, Bernice Krause, Bill Buhler & Al Wenzel. Funeral Service will be held at Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19th, with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday 11-1 PM. at the funeral home.
