Elizabeth M. Pedersen

Mrs. Elizabeth M. Pedersen, age 86, of Iola, died Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at Iola Living Assistance. Elizabeth was born in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca County, Wisconsin on June 14, 1923, the daughter of the late Christ and Emma (Erickson) Christensen. Elizabeth married Gordon Erickson on Oct 1, 1945 in Troy Kansas. He preceded her in death on Jan 17, 1976. She married Roy Broten on July 29, 1978 at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1978. She later married Walter Pedersen on Jan 2, 1980 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2001. As a young lady, Elizabeth moved to Chicago and worked as a housekeeper and also for Western Electric. She moved back home and worked for Zwicker Knitting Mills in Waupaca, the Grand Army Home at King and retired from the Wisconsin Veterans Home in 1983. Elizabeth was a member of the Northland Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and was very involved in the Lutefisk Supper. She enjoyed making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Elizabeth was also a cat lover, liked to spend time in the garden caring for her flowers and liked to crochet in her free time. She is survived by Son: Roger (Dianne) Erickson of Iola; Daughter: Diane (John) Gravel of Iola; Granddaughter: Shelly (Jake) Stencel Great Granddaughter: Jordis Stencel She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews other close relatives and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by Brothers: Joseph Hanson, Norris Hanson; Two Sisters: Edna (Ray) Adams, Carla (Ole) Holtane and an infant sister: Jerdis Christensen Funeral Service will be held at Northland Lutheran Church, N9880 Hwy 49, Town of Harrison at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, Jan 16, 2010 with Reverend Dan Somers officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 12 noon till the time of service. Interment will be in Northland Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northland Lutheran Church N9880 Hwy 49 Iola, WI 54945.
