Ronald E. Krause

Ronald Ervin Krause, age 81, of Iola, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Ron was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 30, 1936, a son of the late Elsie (Groh) and Harry Krause. He married Cynthia (Hensel) Krause on August 12, 1961 in Milwaukee. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961 having been stationed in Germany. After his discharge, he then spent another five years in the Army Reserves. He had worked as head maintenance man at Milsco in Milwaukee for over 30 years. Ron and his wife, Cindy ran Ultra Tours in Iola taking many on trips locally and across the United States. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and baking. He also enjoyed woodworking, and designed and help build their home on County G in Iola. Ron is survived by: His Wife: Cynthia; Son: Brad (Corina Mitran) Krause; Sister: Charlene (Ralph) Beyers; Granddaughter: Jessica E. Jahnke; Cousin: Charlotte (John) Thomann: and Son-in-law: Robert Jahnke. Ron was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Jahnke, Sisters: Priscilla Popovich and Elaine Buresch. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, 11:00 AM at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iola with the Rev. Michael Lilienthal officiating. A Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Church. Burial will be held at a later time in the Spring at Union Cemetery in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iola.
