Harold G. Peterson, age 80, of Iola, died Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Harold was born in the Town of Harrison on December 26, 1928, the son of the late Anton and Margaret (Wrolstad) Peterson. He married Nola Loken on March 31, 1951 at Fort Riley, Kansas. Harold served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, going to military shows, air shows, tractor shows and visiting with people. He was a truck driver for several trucking companies and owned and operated his own excavating company; Northland Service. Harold is survived by his Wife: Nola Peterson of Iola; Children: David (Donna) Peterson of Hartford. John Peterson of Iola. Linda (Michael) Anderson of Amherst Jct.. Jean (Tony) Gliniecki of Waupaca; 11 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren, Brothers: Roger (Sharon) Peterson of Iola. Ralph "Mike" (Arlette) Peterson of Iola. Sister: Grace Jueds of Marion. He was preceded in death by a Sister: Harriet Ehleiter, Brother: Neal Peterson and an infant brother. Funeral Service will be held at Northland Lutheran Church at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 27th, with Reverend Dan Somers officiating.
