Eileen M. Roe

Eileen M. Roe, age 99, formerly of Town of New Hope, passed away Wednesday, November 22nd, at Bethany Home in Waupaca. Eileen was born in the Town of Buena Vista, Wisconsin on August 25, 1918, a daughter of the late Bessie (Manchester) and Eugene Fletcher. Eileen married Curtis Roe at the United Methodist Church in Buena Vista on Dec 15, 1945. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage before his death on Jan 5, 2016. She taught at a one room school at Oak Grove School in the Town of New Hope. In 1941, Eileen was a Portage County Dairy Queen. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, working crossword puzzles along with camping with Curtis. She is survived by her Daughter: Kay (Gary) Vedder, of Frederic, MI Son: Jerome (Jane) Roe, of Sun City West, AZ. 5 Grandchilden and 12 Great Grandchildren. Eileen was preceded in death by 4 Brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral Service will be held at at Our Saviors Lutheran Church-New Hope, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2nd, with Reverend Greg Haugen officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 AM. at the church. Interment will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery Town of New Hope, Wisconsin.
