Lawrence C. Webb

Lawrence Clifford Webb, 82, of Scandinavia, left us and went to meet Our Savior on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017. He was born January 24, 1935 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to the late Clara J. (Kreutzfeldt) and Clifford A. Webb, the first of their seven children. During his early years, the family moved to Ogdensburg, Wisconsin. He graduated from Little Wolf High School at Manawa toward the end of May 1952 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in June. His career took him often to Germany but also to Korea and to Vietnam. He married Liselotte Funke in Berlin Germany in 1959. Lawrence left active service in 1973 and received his final Honorable Discharge in 1985. He earned an Associate Degree in Marketing at the Fox Valley Technical College and then worked at Lieber's Home Center as the hardware section manager and salesperson. From 1987 to 1995, he had a part time job as security at Lakeview Manor outside of Weyauwega. By the end of 1998, Liselotte and Lawrence had moved from Waupaca to Scandinavia. His hobbies included religious study, genealogy and gardening. He is survived by his Wife: Liselotte Webb, of Scandinavia; Daughter: Caroline (William) Zempel, of Waupaca. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Private Graveside Services will be held at Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery. The Reverend David Eisele will officiate.
