Collin R. Kleditz

May 30, 1988 — July 26, 2017

Collin Richard Kleditz, 29 Collin was born on May 30, 1988 to Maureen and Carl Kleditz. Collin resided in a beautiful log home nestled in the woods of Scandinavia, WI, until his untimely passing surrounded by family and friends on July 26, 2017. Collin was a graduate of Iola-Scandinavia High School in 2006, and a student of Fox Valley Technical College for IT Networking. Collin is survived by : his wife, Amber Joers, his parents, Maureen and Carl Kleditz, his brother, Erich (Lisa) Kleditz, his nephews, Logan and Ian Kleditz. Aunts, Carolyn Diedrick and Kit Fletcher; uncles, Dick and Jim (Sue) McCarthy. He is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends. Collin was born with cerebral palsy, and lived an adapted young adult life as an active, free- spirited, and fearless young man. When indoors, he was hard to move from his computer chair, constantly using his talents to game in worlds where he could be anything his heart desired. Collin was in an ATV accident in July 2013 that resulted in a spinal cord injury. The next several years were a series of hospital stays and surgeries, until he came home two years later, and then a final hospitalization and surgery, complications of which resulted in his passing. Collin never viewed his life as being limited by any disability. Collin lived life searching for laughs, thrills, caffeine buzzes, and the latest technology that could provide a new list of possible great times for himself and all of those that surrounded him. Collin was known for his child-like spirit because of some stunt-double-like actions like flipping golf carts, riding his walker down the hills at the Iola Car Show, and riding pretty much anything with a motor that could produce any amount of speed. All the while his parents waited with bated breath that always ended in a chuckle. Collin's parents dedicated their lives to Collin to help him beat the struggles of CP and his accident. The love shared between all of them was that of pure acceptance that Collin could do anything he set his mind to. Collin's sarcasm and humor were the driving fuel through all of the struggles that life provided for him. He took each one in stride, only looking forward, like a valiant warrior marching into battle. On July 22, 2017, Collin married the love of his life, Amber Joers. Surrounded by loved ones, they stood in the Theda Clark ICU and exchanged vows of eternal love, promised to always support one another, and live life sharing the love they felt for one another. Collin and Amber met at 19, and were each others' first love; theirs was a relationship that was filled with joking and laughter until the very last day he was on earth. Collin had a life that was filled with friends as close as family, and a family treasured by all. In Collin's last days, he said that although he did not want to leave, he had lead a full life. At 29 years, the eye-rolling, side-stitching laughter he gave us are seared into our hearts and minds forever with a reminder that life should be filled with vigor and no regrets. Collin's way of life was to put others before himself, help those in need of a nerd in times of technological struggle. He always had a light in his eyes and smile that will be with us until we meet him again. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St Peter's Lutheran Church in Big Falls with the Rev. Janice Kuder officiating. A Visitation will be held on Friday 4-7 PM at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola and again Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service at the Church.
