Frances Ann (Carlson) Hess

Frances Ann (Carlson) Hess, age 87 passed away and entered eternal life on July 11, 2017 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. Frances was born on August 12, 1930, in Evanston, IL. She grew up in New York City and attended the NYC Community College, earning a degree in Commercial Art & Design. She went back to college in her mid-forties and earned a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from UW-SP. She married Arthur R. Hess in 1952 and raised her family in Clintonville, WI. When her husband retired from FWD Corp., they moved to the family homestead in Iola, WI. Frances loved her art work and design, and used her artistic talent in so many areas of her life. She loved being at "the farm" in the country. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, and her daughter, Holly Hess. She is survived by her son , Barry Hess of Waupaca, WI., her daughter, Heather Cornwell of Big Rock, IL., and two grandsons Dillon and Taylor Finger of Minnesota, both the sons of Holly. Frances did not wish to have a funeral service. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date. All cards and letters of sympathy may be sent to the Family of Frances A.
