Thomas J. Eaton

Thomas J. Eaton, age 71, of Iola, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his residence. Tom was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on July 6, 1945, a son of the late Willard and Lavella (Frayer) Eaton. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Gass on September 22, 1966, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton. Betty and Tom were married 50 years. Tom had worked for Kimberly-Clark as a machine operator. He liked to make maple syrup, woodworking, and deer hunting. He would do anything so he could drive his tractor. Tom was a member of the Iola American Legion Post 14. He is survived by Wife: Betty Eaton, of Iola; Son: Jeff (Becky Gall) Eaton and Daughter: Amy (Brent Schramm) Hirst, of Appleton; Brother: Charles (Rosemarie) Eaton, of Iola; Sister-in-law Sharon (Ronald) Greunke and Brother-in-law Jim (Bonnie) Gass. Tom is also survived by Granddaughters: Holly and Sophie Hirst. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Voie Funeral Home, Iola, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 with Reverend Dale Wilson officiating.
