Joan C. Moore

Joan C. Moore, age 79, of Iola, formerly of Camp Cleghorn, Waupaca, died Monday, July 6th, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. Joan was born in Butler, Wisconsin on July 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Marion and Florence (Lowe) Burkman. She married John "Jack" Moore on July 21, 1951 in Milwaukee. Joan was the head chairperson of the Home Economics Program at Pius High School in Milwaukee for over 33 years. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends weekly at the Iola Village Hall. Joan also like to work crossword puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her dogs. She is survived by her husband Jack Moore of Iola, Son: Kevin (Jackie) Moore of Ogdensburg Sister: Marilyn Wall of Waukesha She is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by Twin Brothers: Bob & Dick Burkman Funeral Service will be held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, July 13th, 2009 with Sister Cathy Wottreng officiating. Visitation will be held Monday 11:30 am -1:30 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemtery in King, Wisconsin.
