Obituary Audrey L. Hotvedt Town of New Hope, WI. Audrey L. Hotvedt of the Town of New Hope died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. She was born February 3, 1924 in Eau Claire, WI., daughter of the late Thomas and Leona (Probst) Larson. Audrey married John Hotvedt on September 24, 1944 in Hingham, MA. He survives. Before her marriage, Audrey had worked as a bookkeeper for the Eau Claire Book & Stationery Company in Eau Claire. After marriage she also had worked in Rosholt for Dr. V. Benn as a bookkeeper and in insurance billing. But most of her life, she was a navy wife and mother to her four children. She enjoyed travelling, reading , gardening and was a great fisherwoman. She was a wonderful piano player and cook. She had a delightful sense of humor. Audrey and John spent winters out of state, spending 20 years in Texas. She was devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family. Over the years, she was very active in the church women groups. She is survived by her husband, John of New Hope, her children, Louise (Stephen) Lehrer, of New Hope, Christine (fiancé, Rugby DePue) Hotvedt, of Wisconsin Rapids, Jim (Sandy) Hotvedt of Appleton, and Mary (Jeff) McMurray of Amherst. Grandchildren John (Leslie) Hotvedt, Cole (Mary Beth) Smith, Maren and Gage Mott. Great grandchildren, Jenna, Marius, Hailey, and Johan. She was preceded in death by, a granddaughter, Jessica Smith, a brother Lyle “Bud” Larson, and a sister, Lois Franklin. Services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 @ 11:00 AM at the North New Hope Lutheran Church in the Town of New Hope. Rev. John Poffinbarger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. The Voie Funeral Home of Iola, WI. is in charge of arrangements.
