Ramona A. Johnson

Mrs. Ramona A. Johnson, age 77, of Ogdensburg, passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. Ramona was born in the Town of St. Lawrence, on December 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Marvin and Hulda (Hedtke) Dain. She married Odin "Charlie" Johnson on December 31, 1949 in Walker, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1998. Ramona was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg where she assumed the role of Church Treasurer. She also took care of the flowers around the church, taught Sunday and Vacation Bible school for many years. Ramona worked at the Ogdensburg Pickle Station, Zwicker's Knitting Mill in Waupaca and was the President of the Credit Union at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, playing cards with her family and friends, bowling, golfing, shopping, Friday night fish and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her Sons: Mike (Mary Jo) Johnson of Ogdensburg. Mark (Amy) Johnson of Middleton Grandchildren: Stacey Jo (Scott) Salan of Waupaca. Adam Johnson of Middleton Mitchell Johnson of Middleton Dain Johnson of Middleton Brother in law: Milton Krause of Iola; Brother & Sister in law: Russell (Nancy) Johnson of Eau Claire. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Brothers: Carl (Mathilda) Dain, Kenneth (Jean) Dain, Clarence Dain. Sisters: Helen Krause and Ada Dain. Funeral Service will be held at First Lutheran Church in Ogdensburg at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 with Reverend Blaine Niskanen officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-11 am at the church. Interment will be in the Park Cemetery in the Town of St. Lawrence, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ramona to First Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 134 Ogdensburg, WI. 54962 . The family would like to thank her neighbors: the Al & Pat Manthey and family, Dr. Butkiewicz, Dr. Beldge, Lakeview Manor and Reverend Blaine Niskanen for the excellent care provided to Ramona.
