Thomas "Tom" Mork

Thomas “Tom” Mork of Scandinavia passed away peacefully, with his loving Mom and Dad at his side, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Thomas Peter Mork was born on May 16, 1967 in New London, WI. He was welcomed into the Mork family when he was 5 weeks old. He attended school at Iola-Scandinavia and graduated in 1988. He worked for Waupaca County Industries for the past 21 years. Tom loved to watch Brewers and Packer games. On Saturdays, he enjoyed bowling. He also kicked up his his heels at ARC dances and never missed a Sunday ARC swimming program. Tom loved polka music and looked forward to “ Big Joe’s Polka Show” and the “Jimmy Sturr Show” every week. Tom was also an athlete in special Olympics, where he won several medals in track and bowling. Tom is survived by his mom and dad, Julian and Kathryn (Guillen) Mork. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 2 sisters: Leslieanne (Jerry) Rasmussen Jeff Mork, David (Kris) Mork, Jay (Mary) Mork, Dell (Shelley) Mork, all of Scandinavia, and Lisa (Rich) Dicks, of Aurora, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. Services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 @ 11:00 AM at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Sabin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call, Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Thank you, Tom, for being a loving part of our lives. We will miss you. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Voie Funeral Home of Iola is in charge of arrangements.
