Susan M. Loken, age 74, of Iola, WI, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 with her family at her side after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. Susan was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on October 18, 1941, a daughter of the late Chester and Vivian (Lorge) March. She married LaVern Loken on April 13, 1963, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2009. Susan enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, and traveling with her husband LaVern. She loved to spend time with family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren's activities. When she was able, Susan love to take long walks in the country. She was involved in the Book of the Month Club, Red Hatters, Iola Historical Society, the Altar Guild and Naomi Circle at the church. She was a member of the Iola American Legion Auxillary. Following two years of Technical training, Susan worked as an X-Ray Technician. She left this profession to start her family. Later she returned to work as a cashier with Kohl's Food Center, then spent 10 years with the Chrysler Corporation in their credit department. She will be sadly missed by: Daughter: Stephany (Randy) Grossbier, Son: Kevin (Michelle) Loken and a Brother: Dan (Jean) March. Six Grandchildren: Lexi, Colin, and Addie Grossbier: Anna, Jack, and Samuel Loken. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Susan was also preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Richard Loken and a sister, Nancy Riske. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola, Wisconsin with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 PM at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola, and again Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Church. Interment will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery Town of Scandinavia, Wisconsin. The Oncology nurses were amazing at St Michaels hospital in Stevens Point. Dr. Onitilo, Susan trusted you completely with her care and you came through for her so many times. Aunt Shirley, Aunt Pat, Kristie (and spouses!), we can't thank you enough for everything you did for your loving sister-in-law and aunt.
