Donna Mae Rose Skowen

Donna Mae Rose Skowen, age 93, of Iola, WI, passed away Wednesday, January 13th, at Iola Living Assistance, Wisconsin. Donna was born in Town of Scandinavia, Wisconsin on September 26, 1922, a daughter of the late Anna (Bobbe) and Chester Voie. She married Elmore E. Skowen on May 4, 1946 in Scandinavia. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2009. Donna enjoyed spending time in her garden, She also enjoyed cooking, baking Norwegian pastries, traveling, polka dancing and watching the grandchildren play in high school sports. She was a "Rosie Riveter" during World War II. She is survived by Daughter: Sheri (Mike) Zdroik of Rosholt Sons: David (Jane) Skowen, of Sun Prairie, Wayne (Marie) Skowen, of Iola. 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild. Brother: Carvel (Betty) Voie of Scandinavia. Donna was preceded in death by Son: Keith and Grandson: Cody Zdroik Funeral Service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 16th, with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating.
