Curtis E. Roe, 95, of Waupaca, WI, formerly of Town of New Hope, passed away Tuesday, January 5th, at Bethany Home, Wisconsin. Curtis was born in Town of New Hope, WI. on July 6, 1920, a son of the late Olive (Olson) and Jonas Roe. Curtis married Eileen Fletcher at the United Methodist Church in Buena Vista on Dec 15, 1945. Curtis worked as a finish carpenter for all of his life. He built his house in the town of New Hope from the wood on the family property. He and Eileen enjoyed camping fishing along with gardening. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his Wife: Eileen Roe, Daughter: Kay (Gary) Vedder of Frederic, MI Son: Jerome (Jane) Roe, of Sun City West, AZ. 5-Grandchildren, 11-Great Grandchildren. Curtis was preceded in death by Sisters: Helen Pillsbury and Elsa Peterson. Funeral Service will be held at at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at 10388 State Hwy 161 in the Town of New Hope, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 16th, with Reverend Greg Haugen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in the name of Curtis E. Roe.
