Elsie Louise Wiley

Elsie Louise Wiley, age 99, of Iola, passed away Sunday, December 13th, at Iola Living Assistance where she had been a resident since 2005. Elsie was born in Stoughton, Wisconsin on February 9, 1916, a daughter of the late Luella and Andrew Brekken. She married Ralph H. Wiley on May 29, 1943 in Stoughton. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1962. Elsie worked as a nurse at the Iola Hospital for many years. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and was an avid Packer fan. She is survived by Daughter: Margaret (James) Evenson, of Egan, MN Son: Patrick (Marge) Wiley, of LaCrosse, She is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren: Brother: Bud (Marion) Brekken of Texas and Sister: Gladys Christensen of Darlington, WI along with nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a Son: James Wiley and Brothers: Carrol, Obert, Albert and Elmer A Memorial Service for Elsie will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18th, with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1-2 PM. at the funeral home. Interment of cremains will be in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery in Iola. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
