Betty J. Mork

Betty June Mork, 86, of Scandinavia passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer on September 17. She was a strong and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Survived by children, Susan (Jack) LaCombe, Bloomington, MN, JoAnn (Tom), Scandinavia, Patty Mork, Iola, Martin (Lori), Sussex, WI, and Jody (Nia), Iola, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Sister to Adam Schroeder, Plover and Roger Schroeder, Lady Lakes, FL. Preceded in death by husband, Bill; son, Jerry; great-grandson, Sammy; sister, Jewell. Betty was born and raised in Milwaukee. In 1950, Betty married William (Bill) Mork. They were married for 56 years. In 1960, they left Milwaukee and were busy working and raising their family in the communities of Marion, Waupaca, Webster, South Dakota, and Scandinavia. Betty enjoyed the outdoors with hunting, camping, and fishing. She loved fishing with Bill especially at Pelican Lake, WI. In retirement, Betty enjoyed her trips to the casino with her friend, Sally Loecher, and family. Thank you to those at Iola Assisted Living for their loving and respectful care of Mom. Thank you to all the friends who were constant visitors for Mom. A very special Thank You to her friend, Jan Hansen. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
