Mary R. Pionkowski

Mary R. Pionkowski, 59, of Amherst, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 at her residence. Mary was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on August 4, 1955, the daughter of C. Ruth (Patoka) Hansen and the late Verne "Husky" E. Hansen. Mary married Carl Pionkowski on Oct 9, 1976 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church-Fancher. Mary enjoyed spending time with her entire family along with her special friends. She liked walking, traveling to Minoqua, working in her flower garden, listening to Christian music and being home during thunderstorms. Mary always looked forward to watching her two crows; Cracker and Charlie, feed themselves at the bird feeder on the deck. Mary was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She worked at the Amherst Schools hot lunch program for over 30 years. She is survived by her Husband: Carl Pionkowski Sons: Shane (Jackie) Pionkowski of West Bend. Kevin (Amy) Pionkowski of San Diego. Brian (Stefanie Carlson) Pionkowski of Amherst Grandchildren: Caden, Cael, Liam, Eva & Eden Pionkowski. Mother: Ruth Hansen of Amherst & Sister: Sally Woyak of Amherst. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, aunts, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her Father: Vern "Husky" Hansen, Sister: Susie Marie and Brother in law: Larry Woyak. Funeral Service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 24th, 2015 with Reverend Dwight Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 2-4 PM. Interment of will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
