Richard "Dick" H. Merrell

Richard "Dick" Harlan Merrell, age 83, of Ogdensburg, formerly of Milwaukee, died Friday, February 20th, 2015 at Iola Living Assistance. Dick was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 7, 1931, the son of the late Harlan and Emma Mae (Heimsch) Merrell. He married Shirley Buda on Jan 27, 1951 in Milwaukee. Dick served on the City of Milwaukee Police Department for 30 years and retired as a Lieutenant. Dick & Shirley moved to the Ogdensburg area in 1986. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, and sharing time and memories with his family and friends. He is survived by his Wife: Shirley Merrell of Ogdensburg; Son: David R (Kathleen) Merrell of Hartland, WI. Sister: June Gromowski of Mayville. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a Sister: JoAnn Merrell. Dick requested no funeral service be held.
