Stella O. Thompson

Stella Othelia Thompson, age 92, formerly of the Town of Alban, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Iola Living Assistance. Stella was born in Rosholt,Wisconsin on September 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Morris and Edna (Berge) Stenerson. She married Robert S. Thompson on July 9, 1949 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in the Town of New Hope. She loved yodeling, the harmonica, gardening and spending time with family. Stella was a loving person with a generous spirit. She is survived by Son: Donald Thompson of Stevens Point; Granddaughter: Sarah Thompson of Stevens Point; and Grandson: David (Jennifer) Thompson of Stevens Point. Great Grandchildren: Samuel, Matthew and Brittny. Sisters: Bernice (Frederick) Reinhardt, Carla Searl and Brother: Edmond (Peggy) Stenerson. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Thompson a granddaughter, Nikki, and a brother, Milton Stenerson. A Memorial gathering of family and friends will be held Friday 4-6 PM at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola. Burial will be at a later date in the Alban Lutheran Cemetery.
