Ruth L. Nymoen, age 91, Iola, died.Friday, September 5, 2014 at Bethany Home in Waupaca WI. Ruth was born in Ellsworth , Wisconsin on July 26, 1923, daughter of the late Christian M. and Lena (Haug) Froisland. She married Kenneth L. Nymoen on July 1, 1944 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on Feb 4, 2007. Ruth loved the land at Norske by the river that was named "Nymoen's Norske Nook". She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds especially the hummingbirds and cardinals. She enjoyed her flower gardens, cross stitching, and making blue jean quilts. Ruth was known as "Grandma Cookie" because of all the cookies she made for the kids. She did volunteer work for Faith Lutheran Church and the Rosholt Grade School where she was in the Grandparents reading program for the children. After her daughters had grown, Ruth had worked at K-Mart and as a dispatcher for Morgan Drive-away. Ruth is survived by her daughters: Nancy Warren and Karen (Gary) Homman; She is further survived by her grandchildren: Tonya Williams, Lisa Menninger, Scott Bahr and Amy Harpin and seven great grandchildren. A brother, Norman (Lillian "Tiny") Froisland, a son-in-law, James Bahr; and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Nymoen. Ruth was preceded in death by: her son Terry Nymoen and her daughter, Shirley Bahr; sisters, Hjordes Merseth and Helen Manfred; brothers, Arling Froisland and William Froisland. A Funeral Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 253 South Main Street, Rosholt, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 11, 2014 with Reverend Michael Peuse officiating. Friends may call Thursday at the church form 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Alban Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Alban, Wisconsin.
