Louise C. Hartman

Louise C. Hartman, age 72, of Iola, formerly of Ashippun, Wisconsin, died Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at her residence. She was born on a small family dairy farm at Toland Corners near Hartford, Wisconsin on April 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Irving Robert and Esther Syvenna (Lunde) Christenson. Louise graduated from Hartford High School in 1959 and she was a finalist in the Alice in Dairyland Pageant. Louise married Douglas Ray Wright on April 13, 1963. He preceded her in death on Jan 1, 1985. She operated a cleaning business in the Milwaukee area for over 15 years. She later married Wallace Lee Hartman on June 23, 1990. She retired to the Iola area in 1997 and worked at Copps in Stevens Point for 16 years. Wallace preceded her death on March 9, 2002. Louise enjoyed reading mystery novels, listening to bluegrass music and working in her garden and hosting the local neighborhood block party. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her Children: Bill (Berndatte Christi) Wright of Charlotte, NC. Leslie C. Wright of Iola, Tim D. (Kristen) Wright of Menomonee Falls, WI. Grandchildren: Brandy Rowland, Richard (Cori) Rowland & Crystal (Mark) Christensen, Christopher Wright, Sonia Wright, Soren Wright. Great Grandchildren: Calista Rowland, Toby Brown, Hailey Rowland, Gabriel Rowland, Aydon Birge, Jamieson Christensen. Sisters: Jane Christenson, Mary Hershoff, Janet (Mike) Nelson. Brothers: David (Susie) Christenson, Paul (Lynn) Christenson, John (Lisa) Christenson. She was preceded in death by Son: Jeffrey Wright and Grandson: Andrew Wright. A Memorial Service will be held at the Voie Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Street, Iola, Wisconsin, at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 26th, with Reverend Dwight Anderson officiating. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. A Memorial Service will also be held at St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church in Ashippun on Saturday, Feb 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Matthew Lee will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12 noon - 2:00 PM. Interment of cremains will be in the St. Olaf's Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Ashippun, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
