Elayne M. Durgin

Elayne M. Durgin, age 90, of Waupaca, formerly Scandinavia, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab Center in Waupaca. Elayne was born in the Town of Scandinavia, on December 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Harvey and Hilda (Rierson) Mork. Elayne had worked as a nurses aide at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for 35 years. She was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Scandinavia Lutheran Church, where she was active with the quilters and the ladies aide. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Before goimg to Crystal River, she had lived at Park Vista where she enjoyed and was involved in all the activities. Elayne is survived by a daughter: Linda (Donald) Johnson; grandchildren: Joni (Tommy) Kettleson and Kevin (Wendy) Johnson; Great Grandchildren: Allison and Kaitlin Kettleson, Kylie and Kendall Johnson. brothers: Julian (Kathryn) Mork and Phillip (Mary) Mork. Elayne was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Alm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church, @ 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2013 with Reverend Mark E. Sabin officiating. Visitation will be held Friday 9:30 AM. until the time of the service at church. Interment will be at the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Scandinavia, Wisconsin.
