Margery C. Larson, age 93, of Rosholt, died Monday, September 2, 2013 at Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Margery was born in the Town of Alban, Wisconsin on June 26, 1920, the daughter of the late Fred and Inga (Aanonsen) Dahlen. She married Allen Larson on November 14, 1942 at the Alban Lutheran Church. They later divorced. Margery had been a home maker, but also had worked as a nursing assistant at the Wisconsin Veterans Home and she had worked for the Firkus Potato warehouse. She loved to garden, was very active in the church, especially providing baked goods for church events. She was a member of the American Legion Post #509 Women's Auxillary. Margery was a meek but strong person with a gentle spirit and a smile for every one. She is survived by: a daughter: Karen (Roger) Ellsworth of Plover; sisters: Dorothy (Linford) Larson of Rosholt and Nancy Brenic of Milwaukee. Margery is further survived by four grandsons: Scott (Carmen), Todd, Chadwick (Brandy), and Beau (Toni) Ellsworth; Eleven great grandchildren: Sawyer, Samuel, Mason, Jayden, Rhaya, Morgan, Bailey, Walker, Chloe, Hailey, and Riley. She was preceded in death by: brothers, Wilbur and Leonard "LaVern" Dahlen: brother-in-law Jack Brenic. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 @ 4:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt, Wisconsin, with Reverend Michael Peuse officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 2:00 PM. until the time of service at the church. Interment of Cremains will be at a later date in the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.
