Donald E. Erickson

Donald E. Erickson, 81, of Plover, WI. formerly of the Waupaca area and Amherst, died Thursday, April 18th, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center. Donald was born in Scandinavia, Wisconsin on September 10, 1931, the son of the late Clarence and Stella (Mork) Erickson. He married Ella May Bucher on June 27,1955 in Durand, Wisconsin. Donald was a carpenter for all of his life. He enjoyed fishing, playing games on computer, watching westerns and All Star wrestling on television. Donald served in the U.S. Army during the during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his Wife: Ella May Erickson of Plover; Children: Donna (Steve Burnham) Jordan of Waupaca. Dianne (Dale Howen) Laramore of Waupaca. Randy (Kitty) Erickson of Clintonville. Roger (Donna Schiller) Erickson of Appleton. Debbie (Tracy) DuFrane of Kimberly. Ross Erickson of Plover; Loving canine companion: Daisy, and Sister in law: Lillian Erickson of New London. Don is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children: Rodney, David and Dawn, two Grandsons; Brian Erickson & Kevin Ferguson; Brother: Robert E. Erickson and three Sisters: Dorothy Abrahamson, Donna Irene Erickson and Lorraine Hansen. A Memorial Service will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24th, with Reverend Marcia Sabin Officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. at the funeral home. Interment of cremains will be in the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Scandinavia, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
